I just got off the phone with Leila. I had to pretend to be “Pablo”, one of the Backyardigans. She gets to call a Backyardigans friend when she goes on the potty. So far this is working better than chocolate, lollipops, TV, and gifts. We’re trying to refrain from using threats, since that would probably come back to haunt us later when we have to pay for her therapy sessions.
I did a pretty terrible impersonation, but she’s a believer. Now I’ll have to practice doing the voices of all the other Backyardigans: Tasha, Tyrone, Uniqua, and Austin.
Yep, I share an office with Pablo. And this must have been one of the funniest phone calls that I ever heard at the job.
Now I can’t wait for the first appearance of Tasha!
