We thought Leila was obsessed with snow before we took her to see snow. Now, everyday we are asked, “Is there snow outside?” “Did the snow get in the back yard?” “Is it snowing?” “Is it going to snow?”
We live in San Francisco, so the answer is always no. However, this morning, I felt a bit impish, so I said yes. You should have seen the look on her face. It was a look of mystified awe, with a hint of shock and horror. I quickly had to reassure her that I was joking. Still, she peered out of the window, searching for flakes, not too confident that there was indeed no snow.
I hope that it doesn’t actually snow here one day, or we will most definitely have to move.
