Our second girl is old enough to transition from her crib to a twin bed. I had made one for her older sister, so to keep with tradition, I made a second bed for our second girl. After spending two whole weekends, and then some, planing, cutting, glueing, sanding, and waxing, I can now say, “That’s one big girl bed, done.” All she needs now is to pick out her mattress.

We ended up getting a mattress from Keetsa (http://www.keetsa.com/ ). It’s really comfortable. And it’s environmentally friendly.
She’s been sleeping better now that she’s no longer on her concrete slab crib mattress.
